Knitting Ennui

Bored bored bored. One of those bleh weekends. But I did mostly finish a bag I'm going to felt in the washer. Knitting & fiber details here.

Too many deadlines for stuff I should have worked on this weekend. Damn all schoolwork. Didn't leave the apartment. Haven't answered the phone for two days. I ignored all my e-mail.

So I'm renaming the Esme bag (Rowan #38) Ennui. I might just embroider something incredibly boring across the top. So there.

AND: Shame on all you guys who never heard of or listened to Joy Division. ; ) *shaking finger like a creepy old school marm* I might just have to go into Spanking Nun mode.

Release the bats!

I'm just wondering what sort of Google hits this place will get from the phrase "spanking nun".. Tee-hee!!

Or how about "bag" or even "felt in the washer"?

Now that's sounding nasty.

ack, holy crap not the nun gig - catholic school survivor here. no nuns. no no no no no.

and we played "Love Will Tear Us Apart" at the wedding. whew, thank goodness - no nuns.

and no nuns in clown outfits either, for the love of pete.

How 'bout clowns in nun outfits?

We had church women in giant inflatible hairdos and preachers with pompadors wearing plaid sports jackets in unnatural colors. Now that's scary.

For a wedding I'd maybe play "She's Lost Control" or maybe "Isolation" or "The Only Mistake." Now there's some romantic titles!

Or I might just throw on "Bela Lugosi's Dead" and then go back home. Screw romance.

ok, raise your pale little hand now if you've never listened to Joy Division. i get to spank you first. then i pass the hot glue gun to Sev, so beware.

She's Lost Control is a personal favorite.

we encouraged costumes at our wedding. one of Chris' rly hot friends came dressed as a nun. all his old men relatives (Catholic, of course) LOVED it...

I raise my hand. I have not listened to Joy Division before. Does this make me bad? Spank me, please. LOL! I, however love New Order...does that not count?

new order is good, just not, perhaps, quite as...what's the word? depressing? morbid? angst-ridden? dark?

i feel like sev going into school-marm mode, we'll give all the bad grrls a "required listening list"--HAW!

rly, i'm just way too fuggin old for my own good. i should be felted in the washer.
