Welcome to Roswell

I'm thinking of making the [yawn] Alien Illusion Scarf in the S'n'B book ... BUT ... it'd be in honor of the pilgrimage to Roswell, NM we made on our honeymoon...in the S'n'B colors (what else am I gonna do with that fluorescent green yarn I have?)

Unless Sev comes up with some nice bots or a skellie...or maybe some bats. Anyone find some bats?

I think I need some sleep...

There is a charted bat graph online that someone pointed to not that long ago.. but I can't wrap my brain around the 'formula' for the illusion knitting to change one to the other.

The formula on the Linux scarf makes way more sense to me than the ones that are all charted out. The others just made my brain melt.

I'm doing DomiKNITrix's skull chart but it's going to wind up all stretched out really long. It might look cool or really retarded. If I decide to frog it and use a smaller pattern I'll take a pic first and post it.

Lani found this bat chart a couple posts back. I still want to do these goofy robots eventually. I've been too lazy to make a whole skeleton!

I like the alien scarf too. What's wrong with it? I also love the lime green for the alien too. Go for it, toots.

Honeymooning in Roswell sounds wonderfully batty! I can only imagine the fun to be had while people-watching.

yeah, we honeymooned in NM, a place the spouse has a very odd affinity for, staying mainly in Santa Fe, then drove way the hell out to Roswell, b/c, well, you HAVE to go to Roswell. it was weird. very very weird...

Honeymoon in Roswell? How cool!

I made the Alien Ilusion Scarf, and was madly in love with it. The I ran out of balck wool, I was using a green aptly named Swamp for my other colour. Local super store, has artificial light and no iwndows near it's yarn section. I bought a ball o balck knitted it up htat night only to discover when wearing my scarf out in sunlight the next day the new ball was navy blue!
But otherwise I love it.

How romantic! You should defo do an alien. Maybe one with a bow in her hair and then a boy together holding hands?
