a little further

Finally made it past the the little lace edge!!! Even though by the end of it I was 4 stitches short I just added them into the 4 rows of garter stitch. There was no way in hell I was going to rip it back one more time and re-start the lace as I felt inclined to do the last 7 times because I felt GUILTY, but I am so over it that I just wanted to get stuck into the good old stocking stitch.
And you can't tell anyway.
The only thing I'm not happy with is how this silk wool stuff tangles itself up.
On another subject anyone know how to get the shitty sheep stench out of wool?
I just can't seem to wash it out of the 'Hip Hop' wool I bought and knitted up my Straight Jacket' with.

as for the stinky sheep smell--when i wash raw wool i usually do 2 washes with the wool wash and then 3 rinses, soaking for about 30-40 mins each time.

this is for right-off-the-sheep wool, but if your yarn is that stinky, you might try washing and rinsing several times.

maybe use warm water, too, if the dye can handle it (i use hot with the raw wool, it soaks off the lanolin)
